Theme Blocks

Here you can manage your sidebar and decide what content blocks it should display on the Article page.

Blog posts -> Content and Sidebar -> Add block

If you need to have a sidebar on article pages, activate the option in Theme settings -> Blog and Article Pages -> Article sidebar. There you can change the positioning and visibility settings. How to configure these settings, you can read here.

Here you can add content for the sidebar on the article pages. There are 6 possible content blocks: “Content Slide”, “Sidebar Categories”, “Sidebar Tags”, “Sidebar Recent posts”, “ Sidebar HTML”, and “Sidebar Subscription”. We will get deeper into each of them.

Please note, this is an advanced option, you should have developer skills or hire a developer to complete this task for your store.

If you want to have a slider block on an Article page, you should insert the code$'<div id="article-slider"></div>'$ into the post's content. You can also decide the place of a slider.

In the “For article”, select an article for which the slider will be shown. Here you can add a “Title” and choose an image.

Sidebar Categories

Here you can select a “Menu” that you want to be displayed in the sidebar and give it a “Title”. If you want this block to be separated from the other ones, you can enable the option “Show border”:

Sidebar Tags

If you need the tags to be displayed as a content block in the sidebar, you need to add a block “Sidebar Tags”. Here you can add a “Title” and enable the option “Show border” if you want this block to be separated from the other ones:

Make sure, that you have added tags to Blog posts in Shopify Admin -> Online Store -> Blog posts:

Sidebar Recent posts

Here you can select a “Menu” that you want to be displayed in the sidebar and give it a “Title”. In this block, a small information menu can be added. If you want this block to be separated from the other ones, you can enable the option “Show border”:

Here you can select a “Page content” that you want to be displayed in the sidebar and give it a “Title”. If you want this block to be separated from the other ones, you can enable the option “Show border”:

Sidebar Subscription

If you need the subscription to be displayed as a content block in the sidebar, you need to add a block “Sidebar Subscription”. Here you can add a “Title” and enable the “Show border” option if you want this block to be separated from the others.
